North Carolina has plenty of naturally beautiful places to cool off or take a dip, but sometimes you just can’t beat the thrill of a waterslide or even just a day at the waterpark. There are plenty to be found in the state that are sure to make your summer unforgettable, like these eight.

Carowinds Formerly known as Boomerang Bay, Carolina Harbor JUST opened as the largest waterpark in the Carolinas. Between daring slides and calm rivers, you’ll do plenty of cooling off here.

Around Lake Lure Lake Lure is already located in a gorgeous setting, but sometimes the kiddos just want more. Lake Lure waterpark is small but adds fun to your vacation.
- Fantasy Lake Waterpark, Hope Mills
