Churches have great architecture, beauty and history. People travel all around the world to admire them, like the Cathedral of Notre Dame or the Sistine Chapel. But, luckily for us Iowans, we don’t need to leave the state to see some absolutely gorgeous churches. Here are 10 beautiful churches in Iowa that are like works of art.

- Morning Star Chapel in Elk Horn
Rich/Flickr The Morning Star Chapel was built in 1951 by Charles Johann Walensky, a Danish immigrant living in Waterloo. The miniature chapel has four pews and is available for weddings. I would venture to say that this is probably the smallest chapel in the world, four seats smaller than St. Anthony of Padua.
