US Army / Flickr Little Dover is supposed to rest on top of a Confederate treasure, made up of gold and silver, that was buried during the Civil War.

- Monteagle

- Lost Delosie Mine
Matthew Paulson / Flickr You could argue the Delosie Mine belongs to North Carolina AND Tennessee, as it used to lie right on the border. There are many legends that surround the place, some saying it was blown up, hidden, or just forgotten deep in the hills.
- The Flat Creek Treasure
Wikipedia Flat Creek, located in Bedford County, Tennessee, is said to be the final resting place of a bit of money known as the Denton Treasure.
- Clarksburg
Wikipedia There’s a legend that $15,000 in gold coins was buried by the US Army on Dollar Hill outside of the city. Why so much money, you ask? It was a payroll chest.
- Nashville
Prayitno / Flickr The Civil War society known as the KGC is said to have buried a large amount of money roughly 11 miles south of the capital city, never to be recovered.
- Lexington
Southern Foodways Alliance / Flickr JB Moore, the notorious outlaw, was killed with his murderous two sons in a stagecoach robbery. Their stolen fortune is said to be buried about five miles north of Natchez Trace State Park in Lexington, TN. Who’s gonna find it?!
- Woodlawn Plantation
LaGrangeTn The miserly old widow that once lived on the Woodlawn Plantation is said to have buried a trunk of gold coins somewhere on the grounds of the plantation.
