Some of Utah’s beautiful spots look like they could be straight out of a fairy tale. We’re truly a magical state. Here are a few examples.

- From the Three Billy Goats Gruff: Navajo Bridge
Justin Otto/flickr The troll might not be so likely to bother those three little billy goats if they were crossing Navajo Bridge. It sits 470 feet above the Colorado River. If he got kicked off the Navajo by the third billy goat gruff, he’d surely die when he hit the water below (and probably freak out some river rafters, too).

Ice Castles Midway/Facebook Every snow queen needs a castle. The fairy tale Snow Queen would have many to choose from here. Hopefully she won’t need space heaters to keep her warm.

La Caille/Facebook One of Utah’s most beautiful spots for a party or wedding, Cinderella would surely be happy to meet Prince Charming here.
- From Jack and the Beanstalk: Red Butte Gardens
Red Butte Garden/Facebook You probably won’t find a beanstalk tall enough to climb to another world, but you’ll certainly find plenty of really cool flora (some of it might even be “giant”).
- From Little Red Riding Hood: Ben Lomond

Andrew Stone/flickr When you walk through Gilgal Garden, you certainly feel like you’ve fallen down a rabbit hole. Nothing is quite as it should be: a Joseph Smith head on a sphinx? Strange metal sculptures? A human head sitting on the ground next to a grasshopper twice its size?
- From Rapunzel: Castelton Tower
lbortolus/flickr If Rapunzel is looking for a tower from which to let down her golden hair, Castelton Tower might be her best bet in Utah. It’s a 400-foot tower, standing on a 1,000 foot cone. The tower would be a pretty good place to stick a beautiful princess, but you’d better leave her with some sunscreen.
- From Aladdin: Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park

- From the Boy Who Cried Wolf: Beaver
Ken Lund/flickr Utahns have reported seeing wolves for several years, and DWR officials were doubtful. However, in December of 2014, a coyote hunter accidentally shot a northern grey wolf, just a few miles outside Beaver.
- From The Goose Who Laid the Golden Eggs: Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge
Bryant Olsen/flickr If there’s a goose who lays golden eggs, you’d likely find it at Utah’s Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, where at least 3,000 Canada geese spend every winter.
