With a population of over 1.3 million, Buffalonians are certainly diverse. But there are certain quintessential Queen City-isms where we can all find common ground. Here are eleven undeniable things that every Buffalonian has done at least once:

  1. Eaten chicken wings at the Anchor Bar.

  1. Been to a Bills game in a snowstorm.

  1. Worn a Halloween costume over a snowsuit.

  1. Referred to a soft drink as “pop” and not “soda.”

  1. Used the heat and A/C in the same weekend

  1. Went to Niagara Falls for the outlets and not the falls

  1. Used snow on the porch to keep drinks cold.

  1. Run the Turkey Trot.

  1. Visited a Frank Lloyd Wright creation.

  1. Danced to the “Shout Song” at a wedding.

  1. Posed for a selfie with Sabretooth.
