Every year it’s the same old waiting game. Waiting for warmer weather. Waiting to kiss winter goodbye. And of course, waiting for the days when we can dig into a scrumptious scoop of Michigan-made ice cream. It’s only a short matter of time before the many ice cream parlors, soft serve stands and frozen custard shacks open for the season, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

Last year we brought you a list of 12 spots worth checking out. The roundup included places like Sherman’s Dairy Bar in South Haven, the MSU Dairy Store in East Lansing, and Moomers in Traverse City.
