Here are the best fireworks displays in Oklahoma for 2016.
With the 4th of July just around the corner, it’s time to start planning your Independence Day activities. Get the cooler, lawn chairs and bug spray ready because Oklahoma has some spectacular festivals and fireworks shows you won’t want to miss. We found a few around the state with their details to get you prepared.
- Bartlesville Freedom Fest- Celebrate on July 4th starting at 6:00 p.m. on 2nd St. in downtown. Enjoy games, activities and a children’s parade. Fireworks start at 9:45 p.m.

- Boomer Blast Stillwater- Join this Independence Day celebration at Boomer Lake for some fun. Admission is free and there will be inflatables and food trucks.

- Art in the Park: A Celebration in the Heartland- Featuring a variety of arts, crafts, entertainment, food and music. This event is held on July 4th at Buck Thomas Park, starting at 10 a.m.

- Boom in the Valley Fireworks Show in Talihina- Sponsored by the Choctaw Nation Health Services, this event is on Thursday, July 2nd. There will also be a 5k race, concessions and activities. No alcoholic beverages allowed.

- Freedom Fest Fireworks Show in Yukon- This free family event will be held on July 3rd and 4th at Chrisholm Trail Park. Enjoy live music by the OKC Philharmonic and several other bands. The firework show will be both evenings at 10 p.m.

- Kiefer Fireworks Show-This small town event will have food and vendors on top of a great fireworks show. It will be held on Friday, July 3rd at Kiefer Park.

- Liberty Fest in Edmond- Listed as one of the top 10 places to be in America on Independence Day by CNN and USA Today. Over 125,000 people attend this event every year and it runs from June 25th-July 4th. Here is a list of some of the activities…car show, parade, kite fest, concert in the park and a road rally.

- McCloud Blackberry Festival- Held at a new location for 2015 at the McCloud High School Athletic Complex. It will be on July 3rd from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. and July 4th from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m.

- Duck Creek at Grand Lake Fireworks- This 4th of July celebration attracts tens of thousands of visitors along Grand Lake every year. At 4:00 p.m. watch the War Bird flyover, a tribute to the men and women serving overseas. The fireworks will begin at dusk.

- Summer Fest Fireworks in Davis- Grab your lawn chairs on July 3rd and head out to Wolf Field for a great Independence Day activity.

- Tulsa Freedom Fest- Enjoy one of the largest firework displays in the U.S. You can view the fireworks from all around the city but the festival will be at Veteran’s Park.

- Pauls Valley Firework Show- This is the largest manually lit fireworks show between OKC and Dallas. They will serve hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks. Take part in the World Championship Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest.

Yukon’s Freedom Fest- Stop by Yukon Park for some free watermelon, free swimming or free ice cream before the fireworks begin at dark.
Red, White and Boom in OKC- Catch a free concert before the sparks fly at the State Fair Park. The concert will feature OKC Philharmonic and Joel Levine on Friday, July 3rd.
