Are you ready to hear what is quite possibly the least surprising news of all time? Denver was just named the most desirable city for a future move! (Shocked? Neither were we!) According to Homes.com, “When asked which major city (study participants) would most like to move to this year, 40% of respondents selected Denver, Colorado.” Why is everyone dreaming of moving to the Mile High City? For starters, it could be because:
1.) Denver is stunning during the summer…
Flickr/Thomas Hawk Average 80-some degree days with low humidity = PERFECTION.
2.) …fall…
Flickr/Michael Levine-Clark This isn’t a watercolor, folks; Denver’s fall colors are indeed this vibrant!
3.) …spring…
Flickr/mark byzewski In case you didn’t know, the Denver Botanic Gardens (pictured) is THE place to be every season, as their gorgeous blooms and special displays are constantly evolving.
4.) …and winter.
Flickr/Chris Vreeland After seeing this, can you blame us for not hating the winter?
5.) (Our love for every season probably also stems from the fact that Denver boasts an average 300 sunny days per year.)
Flickr/Sergio Vassio Photography True story: It can be a whiteout blizzard in the morning and sunny with temperatures in the 40s by 1 pm… and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
6.) We like sports and we don’t care who knows…
Flickr/Jeffrey Beall Football, baseball, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, soccer… the gang is all here (and they aren’t too bad)!
7.) …but we also have a soft spot for the arts!
Flickr/Geoff Livingston Do you enjoy the performing arts? I give you the Denver Performing Arts Complex and their world-class productions! Are the visual arts more your thing? You have come to the right place, as Denver is home to the First Friday Art Walks, Denver Art Museum, and so much more.
8.) Denver is located close to the Great Plains…
Flickr/David Kingham What? You didn’t think the rolling plains could be so pretty? Then you are obviously missing out on one of the most beautiful parts of Colorado!
9.) …desert…

…and, of course, the majestic mountains.
Flickr/Jerry and Pat Donaho Can you believe that THIS is less than an hour away from downtown?!
11.) Speaking of the majestic mountains, if you love outdoor recreation, Denver is THE place to be.
Flickr/Tyler Hitchcock Not only does Denver itself house some epic hiking and biking opportunities, the mountains (which are located less than an hour away!) are THE best place in the country for additional activities like skiing and snowboarding.
12.) If you love delicious food…
Flickr/Wally Gobetz Green chile, incredible brunch options, AND Beau Jo’s Colorado-style pizza? It doesn’t get much better than these!
13.) …microbrews…
Flickr/Dave Shea No, we aren’t talking about Coors… we are talking about legitimate beer made from small, local breweries.
14.) …and LEGAL weed, there is no beating the Mile High City.
Flickr/Torben Hansen Even if you don’t partake in our lenient marijuana laws, you are sure to benefit from the extra tax dollars.
15.) Last but certainly not least, Denver days begin like this…

16.) …and ends like this.
