These are some of the weirdest spots around Nashville…really. If you’ve ever made your way around the city, you’ve probably seen a couple of these crazy places.

  1. Hillsboro Village Dragon

thisisaurora - Flickr Perfect for a photo-op, the dragon is located across the street from the newly renovated Belcourt Theatre. It was originally painted in 1995 and restored in 2015.

  1. Hermitage Hotel Men’s Bathroom

Peter Burka - Flickr The award-winning (yeah. really.) men’s bathroom at the Hermitage Hotel proffers art-deco design and has been the site of several music videos. Also, no worries girls - the hotel totally understands if you want to take a look. Just make sure no one is taking care of business, first!

  1. Musica Statue

Larry Darling - Flickr The controversial statue lies just off Music Row in the midtown area of Nashville. It received quite a bit of push-back from the more conservative folk of the city, who weren’t fans of exceedingly naked statues cavorting in a busy intersection. We’ll let you form your own opinions. Art or awful?

  1. The Car Vending Machine

Carvana Nope, this isn’t something from, “The Jetsons.” In November of 2015, Nashville’s car vending machine opened and it’s the most interesting thing you could see from highway 65. The five-story building is robotized and can hold up to twenty vehicles - all for the taking. You do have to reserve your car online first, just in case you’re ready to utilize this strange vending machine. No stale poptarts here!

  1. The Mosaic Dragon

NVitkus - Flickr Fannie Mae Dees Park is known for its dragon sculpture - a completely mosaic statue. It’s beautiful and currently in the middle of a renovation. Yes!

  1. Dutchman’s Curve

Brent Moore - Flickr Did you know the location of the deadliest train wreck in the United States is in Nashville? Yep. Dutchman’s Curve went up in flames in the 19th century, and we have a monument to it, today.

  1. George Jones Museum

Randy - Flickr This quirky museum is one that completely eradicates any sense of stodgy complacency. If you’re looking for a curiosity infusion - we found it. Check it out at 128 2nd Ave. N, right here in Nashville.
