It serves as the final resting place for many of the city’s early influential figures, and was designated a Milwaukee Landmark in 1981. A common story says Blood murdered her husband and children with an ax before committing suicide, and it’s been said that those who approach during a full moon might witness blood oozing from the face of the family stone on which her name is engraved. This is one cemetery you won’t want to visit alone.

Chris Vreeland / Flickr This cemetery is located right outside of Milwaukee in Waukesha. Due to it’s popularity for hauntings, it’s no longer open to the public. Visions of a man by the entrance, as well as flashes of light, seem to be examples of the spookiness happening here.
