There are several sure fire ways to make someone from St. Louis mad. No matter how you put it, if you do any of these eight things you are definitely going to get a reaction from a St. Louis native and I promise it will not be subtle. People from St. Louis speak their minds and are not afraid to speak the truth:
- Bring up the St. Louis Rams
wikemedia/St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams In January 2016, the St. Louis Rams announced they were moving the team to Los Angeles. The people from St. Louis were used to being disappointed by the Rams but this really made us angry. Even though they very rarely won, we supported them as if they did and they bailed. When they left they took jobs - and our money was wasted on the dome we built for them. You really shouldn’t bring up the Rams with us.
- Tell us you’re a Blackhawks fan.

- Tell us the Cardinals are not doing well this season.
Barbara Moore/flickr Yeah, well we are one of the most successful franchises in baseball history. The Cardinals won 11 World Series Championships, the second-most in Major League, and the most in National League. Not to mention, we rank third in National League history. Also, that’s how they do. They put on a great nail-biter and work better under pressure. So why don’t you go on somewhere else with that talk.

- Two Wrongs Don’t Make A Right
Paul Sableman/flickr As much as St. Louis hates injustice and police brutality, two wrongs don’t make a right. We will stand up for a cause in a heartbeat however, we don’t believe in losing the message in hatred and cruelty. We like to do things the right way and be heard.
- Gay Bashing
pridestl.org We are open minded in St. Louis; we accept people of all race, sex, and sexual orientation. There is no room for hate or judgement in our city. We appreciate everyone’s differences. It is what makes life interesting.
- Puppy Mills

- Violence in Our City

People from St. Louis are strong and opinionated. We are not afraid to voice our opinions. But more than anything, we are kind and tolerant. Don’t worry, if you make us mad we may only bark loud at first. After that, we will be more than happy to show you the error of your ways and school you on the proper “St. Louis way” to do things using our Midwestern charm. After all, this is the “Show-Me-State!”
