Splash pads are a fantastic way for your kids (or grandkids) to cool off and stay entertained during an Arizona summer. Since the temperatures aren’t going down any time soon, we thought the kiddos in your life would appreciate a run through one of these fantastic little and not so little splash pads around the state. Also, no need to worry about school already starting up; many of these spots are open through September, so you have plenty of time to enjoy one of these places.

Details: Desert Breeze Park is located at 660 North Desert Breeze Boulevard in Chandler. The splash pad is open from 9am to 7pm through August, and then from 10am to 6pm through October.

Enchanted Island Amusement Park/Facebook This little amusement park is a fun spot for kids and their guardians. The seasonal Splash Zone is equally fun with water buckets, sprinklers, and little fountains. Details: Enchanted Island is open Friday through Sunday from 5pm to 8:30pm. Admission is free but an all-day access to the Splash Zone will cost you $5.

City of Glendale, Arizona/Facebook Doesn’t this splash pad look like fun? This cool little spot features tons of spraying nozzles, water buckets, and fountains. Details: Heroes Regional Park is located at 5850 West Glendale Avenue in Glendale. The splash pad is free and open daily from 11am to 7pm until August 14. After that, it is open weekends from 11am to 6pm until September 5.

There are several little structures on the pad for the little ones to play with and shading to keep everyone cool. Details: Rio Vista Park is located at 8866 West Thunderbird Road in Peoria. While the kids run around in the water, you can chill under the shaded seating area nearby. Details: Riverview Park is located at 2100 West Rio Salado Parkway in Mesa. The splash pad is open daily from 9am to 10pm.
- Valley Aquatic Center, Yuma
