No one likes to believe that bad people walk among us, destined to terrorize and destroy the lives of the innocent. However, the following people have done just that, and they were born right here in Texas. Here are some of the most evil people from our state that we will unfortunately never forget.

  1. Carl Eugene Watts (November 7, 1953 – September 21, 2007)

Wikipedia Also called “The Sunday Morning Slasher,” Watts was a serial killer from Killeen who claimed to have murdered over 80 people in his lifetime.

  1. Richard Ramirez (February 29, 1960 – June 7, 2013)

Wikipedia Ramirez was a serial killer from El Paso who was convicted on 13 counts of murder in 1989. He terrorized residents of Los Angeles and San Francisco from 1984 to 1985, breaking into their homes and killing them with various weapons including a tire iron, machete, and guns. While awaiting execution on death row, he died of cancer.

  1. Andrea Yates (born July 2, 1964)

Youtube/CNN Arguably one of the most infamous killers of all time in Texas, Yates drowned her five children in their bathtub in 2001. She admitted to suffering from severe postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis, and in 2006, the Texas jury found her not guilty by reason of insanity. She was first admitted to the North Texas State Hospital in Vernon, but is now in a low security mental hospital in Kerrville.

  1. Charles Albright (born August 10, 1933)

Wikipedia Another serial killer from Texas, Albright is also known as the Eyeball Killer or Dallas Snatcher because he surgically removed the eyeballs of his victims after shooting them to death. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole, and is currently incarcerated at the Montford Unit in Lubbock.
