It’s restaurant time again! We’ve been on the hunt for homely restaurants with food so delicious it should be illegal (or at least monitored!) Despite the less-than-stunning exteriors of these eateries, the food is more than good enough to make up for that. These 9 restaurants were picked from your comments and suggestions for good places to eat that we’ve missed so far! Do you see yours here?

  1. Backstreet Bakery - 208 S Main St Lucas, Kansas

  1. Guy & Mae’s Tavern - 119 W William St. Williamsburg, Kansas

Yelp

Yelp Boy oh boy am I a barbecue fan, and all I hear these days is whether I’ve had it here yet. It’s a hidden gold mine for kansas barbecue, and their ribs are praised as far as the eye can see. (In Kansas, that’s pretty far!)

  1. Harry’s Cafe - 412 N Broadway St. Pittsburg, Kansas

Yelp

Yelp If you’re more of a breakfast fan, there’s this little hole in the wall called Harry’s Cafe that is just waiting for you to try their gravy. Breakfast in general is sacred to me, so I’m serious when I say this place is good. I’d recommend their buttery cinnamon rolls!

  1. Josie’s Ristorante - 400 N Main St. Scammon, Kansa
