If it’s great food and an amazing atmosphere you’re after, look no further than Cowboy Jim’s Riverside Restaurant. As the name suggests, the restaurant is located on a river. What the name doesn’t tell you is that the eatery’s grounds are unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

Cowboy Jim’s is nestled on the banks of the Bouie River in the Lone Star community, between the towns of Collins and Prentiss.

Part of what makes the restaurant so unique is that its grounds have been designated a “Certified Wildlife Habitat.”

Which means visitors can expect to be greeted by a “wild” welcome wagon.

Each room has a unique vibe and its own story. The Lodge (pictured) was built after Hurricane Katrina, using downed trees found on the property as well as those from neighbors.
