One of my favorite things to do in fall is carving pumpkins. Sure, you can get the pumpkin from a big box store. But there’s nothing like picking a pumpkin from a patch and bringing it home. We’ve got loads of pumpkins here in Wisconsin! Here are ten pumpkin patches across the state that will be perfect for making those classic fall memories:
- Mommsen’s Pumpkin Patch
Mommsen’s Pumpkin Patch/Facebook Located in Rice Lake, Mommsen’s has been in operation for about forty years. You’ll love picking pumpkins here. But wanna know what’s really cool? Their pumpkin artillery. You read that right. Watch a pumpkin get shot out of a catapult. It’s so cool!
- Peter’s Pumpkin Patch
Peter’s Pumpkin Patch/Facebook Out in Kaukauna, you can pick some awesome pumpkins ranging from just one pound up to sixty! They have interesting varieties of pumpkin and other squash.
- Vesperman Farms
Vesperman Farms/Facebook Lancaster, Wisconsin is where you can visit Vesperman Farms. Their fall season starts on September 19. Take a hay ride through the pumpkin patch, see pumpkins launched through an air cannon, and check out a five acre corn maze.
- Swan’s Pumpkin Farm
Swan’s Pumpkin Farm/Facebook Out in Franksville, it is all about pumpkins, and has been for thirty-seven seasons. They have thousands of pumpkins for you to choose from, whether you want to carve them or cook with them. And free admission!
- Country Bumpkin Farm Market
Country Bumpkin Farm Market/Facebook Located in Wisconsin Dells, Country Bumpkin starts operating in spring for strawberry season. But things pick up in fall, and you will love taking a wagon ride through the pumpkin patch.
- Brehmer’s U-Pick Pumpkins
Brehmer’s U-Pick Pumpkins/Facebppl Out in Hartford, Brehmer’s is a wonderful place to bring kids to create great fall memories. There’s a pumpkin patch and maze. And did I mention it’s all free?
- Treinen Farm
Treinen Farm/Facebook Out in Lodi, you can have an absolute ball in their 14 acres of pumpkins. After you pick out the best pumpkin for your family, head over to the corn maze. Some of you will LOVE Zompocalypse, an evening dedicated to all things zombie.
- Polly’s Pumpkin Patch
Polly’s Pumpkin Patch/Facebook Located in Chilton, this pumpkin patch has several varieties from you to choose from. In addition, they have a spectacular corn maze which is 15 acres large.
- Valley Pasture Farm
Valley Pasture Farm/Facebook This farm, located in Elk Mound, hosts a weekend Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch each year. On September and October weekends, you can check out the pumpkin patch, as well as hay wagon rides, bounce houses and a corn maze.
- The Burch Barn
The Burch Barn/Facebook There is nothing corporate about The Burch Barn, located in Spooner. It is a family affair, with three generations involved, and they are intent on getting you to spend quality family time in their beautiful new facility. They have some big pumpkins, but they also have a petting zoo, gunnyslack slide, grain train…and so much more!
