- Moon Room—Cloudland Canyon State Park
Flickr Jeff Moore There’s a room in Case Cave in Cloudland Canyon State Park which takes a little bit of maneuvering to get into. However, when you do, it’ll feel like you’re on the moon. With rock formations that cover the floor, it almost looks like a plethora of craters scattered about.
- Contentment Falls—Toccoa
Flickr MK Wyman Everyone goes to Toccoa Falls when they visit Toccoa, but did you know there was a secret waterfall called Contentment Falls? This hidden hike is worth the trip, especially when you reach the falls. However, the falls are such a secret, you may have to ask around to get the trail information.
- Fred’s Famous Peanuts—Helen
Yelp Jenn N. This famous peanut stand outside of Helen is everything a unique roadside attraction is supposed to be. Make sure you stock up on delicious staples like the boiled peanuts or the homemade peanut brittle.
- Cagle Castle—Alpharetta

- Reynolds Mansion— Sapelo Island

However, taking a tour of the historical estate property dubbed Reynold’s Mansion is an absolute must. The unique architecture and stunning grounds make for one heck of a photo opportunity, not to mention a history lesson.
- Julianna’s Crepes—Atlanta
Yelp Felicia H. We love hidden restaurants tucked away on side streets that you just might miss if you’re not looking closely enough. Julianna’s Crepes is just that. With a beautiful, secluded front entryway, you’ll find a bevvy of delectable crepes waiting for you inside.
- Waving Girl Statue—Savannah
Yelp Sylvia Wrigley Savannah has a multitude of statues throughout the city, but the Waving Girl Statue may just be our favorite. As the story goes, Florence Martus purchased a small cottage where the ships came in to dock in Savannah back in the late 1800s. She grew lonely in the cottage and took to greeting the passing ships over the years. Some say over 50,000 ships were greeted by the Waving Girl during her lifetime.
- Dunaway Gardens—Newnan
Yelp Erica B. Dunaway Gardens is like the secret garden in Georgia you never knew existed. It’s a beautiful landscape of vines, flowers, and greenery. It certainly makes for an enchanted secret gem within this wonderful state.
- Sandfly Bar-B-Q at the Streamliner—Savannah
Yelp Jo El S. Do you want to snack on some delicious barbeque from the back of a vintage rail car? At Sandly Bar-B-Q at the Streamliner, you can do just that. The ambiance just adds to the wow-factor, but it’s the food, and their three homemade sauces which round out this secret spot.

Yelp Janos J. At first, you’ll think this is any old normal park. Yet, once you walk down the path and find the stunning waterfall flowing through a broken dam, and the beautiful grist mill which at one time produced power, you’ll be amazed at this secret part of Georgia history.
