There are funny maps of Kentucky and other states scattered across the Internet. People love to give their opinion on what is strange or funny about other states. Sometimes people enjoy just mocking a specific town. The thing to remember is this is all in good humor and readily available on the Internet. I am happy to report, compared to many other states, Kentucky is virtually angelic.
Some are in good humor, some are off, but here are 15 funny maps featuring Kentucky:
- Caramel.
Business Insider There are several ways to say it, and depending on where we live, we exercise our right of pronunciation.
- Most preferred beer?
Forhangovers I cannot say I’d agree with this being our favorite beer, but likely the most affordable for those who go out to clubs, or drink a lot. It is more so one of our cheaper beers. Personally, I never buy it.
- Bourbon is more our thing.
Time and Thrillist Since we are the Bourbon as well as the Bluegrass State, this at least makes sense.
- The opinions of the British.
Tom Phillips via Buzzfeed This is what they see when they look at a map of the US. What we see when we look at Britain is likely much less flattering.
- Can’t argue this one.
Time Kentuckians, in most cases, are proud of our right to bear arms, and take it seriously.
- Happy with living here.
Janet Loehrke and Jolie Lee via Buzzfeed The percentage of happy Kentuckians isn’t so bad, though the numbers are pretty low when referring others to our state.Personally, I think their figures might be a little off, unless our crafty residents are just trying to sway others from moving to our beautiful state.
- If all secede attempts were successful.
Dave 4 via Buzzfeed This would be the new, segregated Kentucky. You might say they really whittled us down.
- Lexington via Judgmental Maps.
Galbraith This map of Lexington was designed by Galbraith, and his opinions are pretty mild compared to the Louisville map. Be happy Lexington, this guy was pretty nice.
- Average is not very average.
Time I have to say… this one is wrong, or some of us are just blessed.
- Louisville via Judgmental Maps.
VJAIV This is a map of Louisville as described by VJAIV on Judgemental Maps. Some of it is pretty fair, other parts not so much. The Berlin Wall aka the Ohio was pretty funny though.
- Old kid’s map.
Zazzle This rendition of Kentucky was often given to little ones in the 70s and possibly before with slight variances. There are parts that will give you a chuckle.
- Our Google habits.
Estately Our private Googles should really not be flaunted for the world, but seriously… check out the rest of them. It shows Kentuckians really are good people, who happen to enjoy bowling for a fair price with good equipment and shoes.
- Possibility of a collision per county.
Farm Bureau via Reddit Anywhere you live in Kentucky you have a chance of having a collision accident… with a deer. Thankfully, Farm Bureau creates this handy dandy map each year.
- Snow and school closings.
Alenandr Trubetskoy via Buzzfeed It is not that Kentuckians do not appreciate a little snow and furthering education on a timely basis… most of us just don’t like to drive in snow and ice.
- We may have cancer deaths…
Time but at least we aren’t the ones with Gonorrhea.
Kentucky is beautiful, but people do like to make us the brunt of the joke at times. We got off pretty easy as compared to some of the other states on these maps. On a positive not, a few of them are helpful. Knowing where to really slow down and watch for deer, or whatever can be a life saver. Which of these maps did you find funny, or have you seen a different one?
