We’re known for our resilience. Even when things get tough in Louisiana, we know how to band together. Here’s a collection of some of the most touching words and pictures of hope that have come to light since the tragedy in Lafayette.
Louisiana lost two beautiful souls Thursday night, Jillian Johnson and Mayci Breaux, at the hands of unspeakable tragedy.
Facebook.com/RedArrowworkshop From Jillian Johnson’s store, Red Arrow Workshop: “Our hearts are shattered. We will love you forever. She was a once-in-a-lifetime gal. A mother, daughter, sister and a truly exceptional wife. She was an artist, a musician, an entrepreneur and a true renaissance woman. She was the love of my life and I will miss her always.
Thank you all for your kind words and offers of support. Our family is together now to mourn our loss. We would appreciate privacy during this time but your messages on outlets like this truly mean the world to us.”
Mayci Breaux

Many of you had come to know and love Mayci and we ask that you pray for her family and friends during this tragic time.”
From her sister “I’m going to miss her cheering me up, talking some sense into me whenever I’m being a dumb teenager. I miss her honesty, her humor, her smile — everything about her.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this terrible tragedy. In the immortal words of Helen Keller, “Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.” We too, can overcome this unimaginable sorrow and grow to love the world even more.
