Located on the northern Oregon coast at the mouth of the Columbia River, Fort Stevens State Park is full of beauty, history and—according to legend—ghosts. This abandoned military fort is said to be haunted by the ghost of at least one soldier who wanders the grounds at night. Visitors have reported many strange (and startling) occurrences, including hearing disembodied voices and footsteps, seeing ghosts in full army gear who vanish when approached, and the eerie sensation that they were not alone....
