One of the many things Wyoming does well is history, and one notable supper club in Cody does it particularly well.
Entering Cassie’s is like stepping into a time machine, giving you a peek into the past when a bourbon and water cost only 50 cents and there were just as many cars parked outside as horses hitched to the posts. Today, there are definitely more cars and fewer horses, but the supper club is still the place to go for a great steak, a stiff drink, and a good time.

The supper club was originally opened by a local madam, Cassie Welsh.
Cassie’s
After running a house that employed ladies of the night for almost 20 years, Cassie opened a night club and added food later on, turning it into a supper club.
Even before you enter, the exterior of the restaurant gives you a feel for what it was like way back when.

Inside, you can belly up to a piece of history - the bar was built in the 1800s.
Rollingst1/TripAdvisor Cassie’s has gone through restoration and renovations over the years, but it’s still in the original building and has always retained pieces of the original décor.
No western bar is complete without a couple of pool tables.

After almost a century, Cassie’s is still the place people come to dance.

Who wouldn’t want to dance when there’s a live band playing?
Cassie’s Occasionally, diners and dancers are treated to surprise performances by visiting musicians, like the night when Vince Gill dropped in for a steak dinner and ended up jammin’ with the house band.
But don’t forget - you came to Cassie’s to eat. Start off with one of the delectable hors de’oeuvres like the calamari and tumbleweed sauce or, since you’re in Wyoming, try the elk appetizer.
