North Carolina has plenty of options for adventure – camping on the beach, hiking the Appalachian trail, crossing a mile high swinging bridge – but what about an option that combines adventure with the finer things? If you’ve visited one of our amazing vineyards in North Carolina, there’s no doubt you’ve dreamed of being able to enjoy more than one or two glasses of wine and stay the night. Enter Treehouse Vineyards in Monroe. Between great wine and treehouses available for a romantic night, it’s the perfect place for a memorable weekend getaway.
Facebook / Treehouse Vineyard From engagements and anniversaries to honeymoon celebrations, or even just a romantic night - there are a lot of reasons to stay at Treehouse Vineyards. In the spring of 2005, the first vines were planted on the land. Owner Phil Nordan had already been growing grapes on their Monroe family farm for some 50 years just for personal use. He decided to combine his love of wine and his knowledge of the process and start a winery. Another random tidbit: in 1999, Phil built a treehouse for his wife, Diane, and their children as a fun little getaway. Maybe he did, or maybe he didn’t know that these two things would later shape his business and vineyard into what it is today.

Treehouse Vineyards Papa’s Dream is available for overnight rentals only and the cozy, intimate space is perfect for two. Relax on the hammock while taking in the views and enjoy the grill on the deck. It’s quite amazing to have your own little treehouse for a night.
Facebook/Treehouse Vineyards Horsefeathers Hideaway is the long-awaited, newest addition to the treehouse collection. This modern, spacious treehouse sleeps between 2-8 adults and is located in a secluded setting.
Facebook / Treehouse Vineyards The large, 400 square foot deck comes with comfy rocking chairs perfect for sipping some wine and catching up with friends. Your soundtrack is that of a running creek and birds chirping - how heavenly. Even better, you can watch horses roaming through the vineyard. If you want to take a unique couples trip or want a little more space while nestled up in the trees, this is the perfect place!
Treehouse Vineyards Last but not least is the ultra cozy and romantic Date Nite Treehouse. Located 30 feet in the air, this treehouse reaches extraordinary heights and is truly nostalgic as you feel like you’re back to your younger days playing in a treehouse.
Yelp / Bradly K The Date Nite Treehouse is available for hourly rental and many prefer to book it during one of the vineyard’s many events as a way to enjoy themselves in a new fashion. This one truly takes the treehouse cake as it puts you right in the trees and away from the world (while still having a pretty good view and proximity to all the action).
Facebook / Treehouse Vineyards Treehouse Vineyards is truly one of the coolest places to spend a weekend away. The vineyard also offers multiple events throughout the year including “Live at the Vines,” a Saturday night full of music and dancing.
