Throughout 2016 the Rhode Island page of Only In Your State has featured dozens of the amazing restaurants found across the state. Though our state is small, those of us that live here know we have no shortage of great places to dine! While some are pretty well known, others are either new and growing in popularity, others are lesser known gems that offer unique atmospheres. While there are so many that are worth visiting this year, we pulled these 10 from the bunch as places that simply should not be missed.

Now known as the Weekapaug Inn, the resort is located on a picturesque strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and Quonochontaug Pond. Yelp/Tree House Tavern Found on Centerville Road in Warwick is quite possibly the quirkiest little restaurant in all of Rhode Island. Known as the Tree House Tavern, this charming place serves amazing food, craft beer, creative cocktails, and so much more. It’s also the perfect place to rent for private events. - The Red Dory, Tiverton

Facebook/White Horse Tavern The White Horse Tavern opened its doors in 1673 and the building was originally constructed in 1652 as a two-story home. Yelp/Scott V. The Coast Guard House is set in one of the most breathtaking buildings in the state. Built in the 1800s, this historic place offers amazing views of Narragansett Bay while you dine. This is a wonderful place to book for large parties, or just stop in for amazing food after a relaxing day at the beach. Not only is it family owned, it also has an extensive history and was first launched in 1969. An additional location opened in Bellingham, Massachusetts recently so you can enjoy the same slow roasted sandwiches in both states. Learn more here.
