Last week, we highlighted which counties in Ohio are the healthiest.  This week, we decided to take a look at the other end of the spectrum. According to CountyHealthRankings.org, the following 15 counties are the unhealthiest in Ohio. Data is based on a variety of health factors and health outcomes, including; length of life, quality of life, health behaviors, clinical care, physical environment and social and economic factors. These health factors and health outcomes were calculated via percentages of premature deaths, obesity, smoking, food environment index, excessive drinking, access to exercise opportunities, health insurance, health care providers, number of poor physical health days, unemployment, income inequality, violent crime, air pollution, drinking water violations and many others.

  1. Lawrence County
