There’s a whole line up of bands offered at the jam, including Mixed Nuts and the New Orleans Concert Band. And of course, the whole celebration ends with an awesome fireworks display.

You can watch the “dueling barges” display while standing in Woldenberg Park or at Jax Brewery. And over the past few years, Crescent Park has even been opening up the area for fireworks watchers.

It’s a beautiful day on the Woldenberg Great Lawn, all starting at 7pm, which includes an amazing performance of the Marine Corps band. Everyone who attends is encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to celebrate the day.

slidellheritagefest.org On Saturday July 1st, you’ll want to gather all of your friends and head over to 1701 Bayou Lane, where the annual Slidell independence day festival kicks off. It all gets started around 4:30pm. Awesome food, great music, and of course a killer fireworks display makes this day truly special for everyone who attends.

St.Bernard Parish

  • St. Bernard Salutes America, July 4th, Frederick J. Sigur Civic Center Grounds, 8245 W. Judge Perez Dr., Begins 7:30 and fireworks starts at 9:15.
