New Jersey sure does love its barbecue. We’re home to half a dozen barbecue festivals and countless crave-worthy BBQ joints. While most are magnificent, some stand out more than others. Here are some of my personal favorite rib spots in Jersey.

  1. Local Smoke BBQ, Neptune City & Cookstown

Image/Google Maps This Jersey joint has won over 100 awards nationally in barbecue competitions. Everything is incredible, but I love the bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers.

Facebook/MightyQuinnsBBQ Not your typical BBQ joint, the menu is limited and you order assembly line-style. Still, everything is amazing - especially the “Brontosaurus Rib”.
