There are few things that can generate chills down our necks quite like a haunted house. Whether it’s a hoax or not, just the thought that a house could be home to a number of evil spirits is enough to keep us awake at night. There is perhaps no more famous haunted house in Cleveland than the centuries-old Gothic manor, Franklin Castle.

The Hannes Tiedemann house, better known as Franklin Castle, is believed to be the single most haunted house in Ohio.

Built in 1881, the house has seen at least six confirmed tragic deaths within its walls.

Today it stands abandoned, and only the truly bold have found their way inside in recent years.

The interior is largely unchanged from when the last residents fled the house in 1974.
