It’s been proven countless times before, America is one big haunted country. From haunted roads to creepy ghost towns, every state has their own ghost stories to tell. With that being said, has it ever crossed your mind which town in America is the most chilling of all?

Time to be brave! The story behind this haunted small town in Pennsylvania is absolutely frightening:

The bloodiest battle of the Civil War, over 7,000 lives were lost during Gettysburg.

Areas inside the small town have now become known for their ghostly visitors, especially the Gettysburg National Military Park.

One of the areas inside of the national park where visitors often encounter strange happenings is the Devil’s Den. Many who have visited tell stories of a barefoot man wearing a large and floppy hat, who points people in the right direction of what they’re looking for only to disappear moments after.

Throughout the park, people have experienced all sorts of paranormal activity.

The most common way people find themselves running into strange activity is when taking photos. Many people have reported that their cameras stop working in certain areas of the park, or that after they take a picture with their camera strange figures and orbs appear in the photo. Very creepy!

The national park isn’t the only place in town where you’ll find strange things happening.

The inn is known as one of America’s most haunted places that you can stay and has a laundry list of stories involving Gettysburg ghosts. Inside the beautiful and historic inn, you’ll find closed off rooms. Some guests may never be brave enough to return for a second time. Those who have been courageous enough to spend the night here tend to all have similar stories of moving beds and strange noises.

Another area of this small town that is said to be haunted? The Daniel Lady Farm on Hanover Street. The farm was used as a hospital for the Confederate Army during the battle, where sadly many soldiers took their last breaths. To this day, the farm is said to be haunted by thousandsof soldiers.

We know from living here that it’s not out of the ordinary for this area of Pennsylvania to be foggy, but many have claimed to experience mysterious things when the fog rolls into Gettysburg National Military Park.
