Baker Peters House - Knoxville
Knox / Flickr Once upon a time, Baker Peters house was owned by Dr. Harvey Baker. He was killed by a group of Union soldiers way back when. His son, Abner, went on a killing spree after he found out his father had been killed in cold blood. He was murdered by a mob of enraged townfolk and is now the town haunt. Creepy thing? Other than the terrifying ghost that haunts the now restaurant, there are still bullet holes in the doors. Scary times…dessert, anyone?
Wheatlands Plantation - Sevierville
Wikipedia Haunted by Timothy Chandler, the Wheatlands Plantation is haunted as a result of a snub in the family will. The plantation was left to his son, John, who killed Timothy when he grew rabid with anger. There are still blood stains on the floor that no one has been able to remove - not with sanding, scrubbing, or painting. They are forever branded to the floor.

The attic light comes on. Unbidden, uninvited. It lights in the dark and spooks caretakers year ‘round. You’ll have to visit on your own to catch a glimpse.
