  1. Bobbie’s Dairy Dip - West Nashville

Bobbie’s Dairy Dip - Facebook

Bobbie’s Dairy Dip - Facebook Open since 1951, Bobbie’s Dairy Dip is a Nashville native and holds the key to the hearts of many. Their location on the west side of town is the best you’ll find, although you can hit up their downtown location in a pinch. It’s not a fancy-shmancy place, but there’s a whole lotta charm. We’d recommend the soft serve dipped in peanut butter! (5301 Charlotte Avenue)

  1. Las Paletas - 12South

Daniel Zemans - Flickr

Daniel Zemans - Flickr Although it’s not quite an ICE CREAM spot (don’t get mad, guys) Las Paletas serves up creamy and fruit based icy pops that are sure to please the child in you. We’re big fans of the avocado paletas, but you can’t go wrong with something off of their menu. It tends to get packed on busy days, so make sure to head in before the crowds! (2911 12th Ave S)

  1. Legato Gelato - Edgehill Village

Legato Gelato - Facebook

Legato Gelato - Facebook Fresh gelato is made daily at this darling little gelato shop, located in Edgehill Village. Not far from the shops of Hillsboro Village and right across the street from the acclaimed Tex-Mex chain, Taco Mamacita, you can make a whole day of it. (1200 Villa Place Ste 113)

  1. Elliston Place Soda Shop - Midtown

Kevin Schraer - Flickr

Facebook / Soda Shop Nashville The historic Elliston Place Soda Shop will serve you up an old school malt with a couple cherries scattered on top, if you ask. Enjoy their cute, no-frills shop that will transport you back to the fifties - although the space has been open since the 1930s. How neat is that?! (2111 Elliston Place)

  1. Mike’s Ice Cream - Downtown

Mike’s Ice Cream - Facebook

Mike’s Ice Cream - Facebook Mike’s Ice Cream is a tourist favorite, great for folks hanging out on Honkytonk Highway or locals who are looking to woo their date with sugary treats and a walk across the Pedestrian Bridge. It recently moved from its space on Broadway, but we like the new space - it’s tucked away a bit, a couple steps from the crazy that has come to encompass downtown Nashville on a Saturday night. (129 2nd Ave N)

  1. The Pied Piper Creamery - East Nashville

Pied Piper Creamery - Facebook

Katie Stradlund - Flickr The Pied Piper Creamery is best for those of you headed in from the Tomato Art Fest or with kids. Eat on the front porch of the gorgeous East Nashville converted home, and experience the sweetness of childhood again with their homemade and quirky flavors. (114 S 11th Street)

  1. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams - East Nashville

Denise Mattox - Flickr

Jeni’s - Facebook Jeni’s will always be from Ohio, but did you know that their East Nashville location was the first time the acclaimed ice creamery branched out of the midwest? It’s pretty neat, and Music City welcomed their deliciously artisanal flavors with open arms. There’s now a location in 12South and Hillsboro Village, as well as a few scattered across the nation (we see you, LA!), but East Nashville will always hold a special place in our hearts. (1892 Eastland Avenue)

How many have YOU tried? Your summer just got a whole lot tastier, if you ask us.
