If you live in New York, then you’re aware of all of the magic that you can find on beautiful Lake George. One of the many incredible lakes you’ll find within the Adirondack Park, Lake George alone has a total of nearly four hundred islands. Right on Green Island in Bolton Landing, you’ll find breathtaking panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains at The Sagamore Resort. If you’re looking to vacation in the area this summer, then look no further for the perfect place to stay:

A long time favorite, The Sagamore Resort opened back in 1883!

David N./Yelp This history of this resort is quite fascinating and there’s much more than meets the eye. The resort suffered through two fires in both 1893 and 1914, afterwards undergoing a full reconstruction in 1930. In its original days, the resort had a variety of visitors and quickly became popular, but sadly would close its doors in the early 1980s. Lucky for us, 100 years after opening its doors, a developer bought the resort with the goal of fully restoring it all.

The idea was originally created with the desire to build a resort that would feature the beautiful surrounding area of Lake George and the Adirondacks.

EricaC727/TripAdvisor Beautiful waters perfect for swimming or fishing, with picturesque mountains in the background all around you? Sounds like paradise!

With nearly 400 rooms, the peaceful resort provides the perfect place for family vacations, work gatherings, weddings, and other special events.

ronald d/Tripadvisor The Sagamore offers a variety of rooms, all of which will cost you a pretty penny. Taking a vacation here is truly a one of a kind experience!
