Oh, Alaska… where the odds are good but the goods are odd. That motto applies to so many things in the great 49th state. We have a tendency to push the envelope and just kinda sorta live in our own wild realm up here. It’s what keeps things interesting and keeps anyone from ever thinking that we will ever be okay with blending in with those lower 48’ers. These signs in the last frontier will probably have you laughing out loud, shaking your head or just being completely bewildered. You see, that whole “politically correct” thing doesn’t really seem to matter when it comes to displaying signage in Alaska. The wow factor is way more interesting anyway. See for yourself…

  1. One stop shopping. Fast, easy, convenient. Only in Alaska!

  1. Accuracy is so overrated. You’re in Alaska. Staring at a mileage marker on the pipeline. Just appreciate your surroundings and don’t concern yourself with perfection. It’s not like you have to fill up your gas tank or anything. Oh wait…

  1. So, about bar hopping? Maybe we should just Netflix and chill? Good idea.

Flickr - Antonio Bovino
