In the early 1920s a man by the name of Marshall Field III bought the large property so he could create the ultimate estate. Field managed to create an estate that had anything you could ever dream of and by the time the estate was complete, it featured every kind of sports facility you could ever imagine…except for golf. Here at the state park you can learn about rich history all while enjoying a scenic adventure.

The park now offers several miles of trails that will bring you through forested wonderlands and by the water where you’ll be pinching yourself to see if this enchanting place is actually real.

The other major reason many visitors come to check out this place is because of all of the friendly horses you’ll find at the Lloyd Harbor Equestrian Center where you can visit the horses and also take riding lessons!
