When is the last time you embarked on a Utah adventure? The Beehive state is just full of spots for exploration and thrills, but sometimes you can overlook an attraction that’s right in front of you. For instance, when you think of Park City adventures, skiing and hiking come to mind. Did you know that the Utah Olympic Park also has exciting adventure courses? Check these out – they’re fun for the whole family!

The park has three different courses to choose from, depending on age and skill level.

Utah Olympic Park This is Discovery Adventure Course - the easiest of the three. It’s set up for kids ages five and older. Adults can participate with their kids, as long as their weight doesn’t exceed 215 pounds and they can fit through the smaller obstacles and spaces.

The Canyon Adventure Course is a little more challenging.

Utah Olympic Park Explorers ages seven and up can explore this course, which takes you up as high as 25 feet off the ground. You’ll cross challenging log traverses, face some problem solving and even ride some swinging elements.

The Summit Adventure Course is the most advanced.

Utah Olympic Park You must be at least thirteen years old to attempt this course, which reaches into the sky 55 feet. You’ll need some excellent balance, agility and strength to get through this bad boy, but you sure will feel a sense of accomplishment when you’re done. And the view from the top? Incredible!

Utah Olympic Park/Facebook This is the perfect place to conquer your fears. You’re harnessed in, so even if you slip and fall you won’t get hurt. And, you start with the easiest course and work your way up.

The Adventure Courses just opened on February 18th - they’re open all the way through May.

Utah Olympic Park/Facebook Visit on Saturday or Sunday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (hours extend to 6:00 pm starting in April).

Make sure you come prepared to play.

Utah Olympic Park/Facebook You’ll need to wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, and closed-toed shoes that provide good stability. Leave your loose items, such as cameras and cell phones - you don’t want to drop them! The Adventure Courses aren’t recommended for people with heart conditions, high blood pressure, injuries or physical ailments.

The cost for the courses varies. Discovery Adventure Course is $15; Canyon Adventure Course is $20; Summit Adventure Course is $25. The park often has special pricing events; check the website for more details.
