The area is already known for its historic bridge - the Walcott Covered Bridge.

Emily Chopelas The 19th century bridge has been relocated and rebuilt over the years, but it’s still an interesting historic landmark to visit.

The bridge itself adds even more appeal to this adorable shop.

Emily Chopelas Right next to the Whippi Dip, you can easily check out the bridge after you’ve enjoyed your ice cream. Now that the Whippi Dip is open, the bridge has seen more visits from both locals and travelers.

But it’s the Whippi Dip that has brought this area back to life.

Emily Chopelas The couple that owns Walcott Whippi Dip aims to create a place where the community can safely gather and enjoy each other and the scenery. They also want to make it an affordable place where families can make memories - including their own grandchildren.

And in case you’re wondering, the ice cream is pretty darn good.

Emily Chopelas They have a variety of ice cream (including moose tracks, pictured here), shakes, sundaes, snow cones, and soft serve. They also sell hamburgers, pulled pork, hot dogs and various sides, so you can easily enjoy an entire delicious meal while visiting.

The family has lovingly shared their farm - and their ice cream - with Kentucky, and we couldn’t be happier.
