I don’t know why anyone would ever want to leave Missouri, but sometimes life takes you away for a job, a loved one, or something out of your control.  Here are some of the things you might miss if you leave…

  1. The seasons and foliage.

Deviantart.com/ IrvingGFM If you move to a desert climate, for example, you often miss the changing seasons, and Missouri definitely marks each season distinctively.

  1. The many amazing state parks.

  1. Amish Country.

Flickr/ Jim Corbett Missouri has the 7th largest population of Amish in the country, and has experienced a huge increase in new settlements in the last 15 years, with orders migrating from other states. The Amish population is growing and can be found in small orders sprinkled around the state.

  1. All the beautiful farms and country roads.

  1. Our home teams.

Flickr/ Justin Brockie The Royals, The Cardinals, The Rams…no matter your team, there’s nothing like living in the city where your team is. When you move, it’s harder to keep loyalties or see games.

  1. Lakes and rivers and float trips.
